Papers are invited on all aspects of innovation in public services. However the principals would be especially interested to receive proposals that explore one of the following themes:

Conceptualisation of innovation in public services
Comparison across ownership (public, private and third sector)
Comparison of incentives (financial and others) across public, private and nonprofits
The management and governance of innovation in public services
Innovation in managerial and governance structures within the plural provision of public services
Impact of regulation and/or performance management upon innovative capacity
Risk and innovation in public services
The architecture of incremental and radical innovations in public services
The impact of milieu and geographic locus on innovation in public services
Professional resistance to innovation in public services
Evaluation of the role of ‘hero innovators’ and knowledge brokers in innovation in public services
Evaluation of the impact of innovation upon industry specific areas of public services (health, social care, sport, education, etc., etc.)
The effect of institutional and/or political context upon innovative capacity in public services.
The diffusion and consequences of innovation in public services
The role of ICT in innovation in public services
