The experience of more than three decades of public sector accounting reforms, the ongoing discussion on methods for improving public sector accountability and the cross-sectoral relevance of good governance are prominent topics in the reform process of the public sector in many countries. The conference will therefore take stock of recent developments in these fields, evaluate them from a theoretical point of view and discuss further directions. Special emphasis will be put on including a cross-sectoral perspective.
